Blue Angels, Thunderbirds Fly Over NYC To Honor Medical Responders

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – It’s a sky-high tribute to first responders.

A formation of Navy Blue Angels and Air Force Thunderbirds will honor COVID-19 frontline workers.

Around noon, the elite military teams will fly over the George Washington Bridge, pass over Newark, and then speed on to Brooklyn and Queens.

Later, they’ll appear in the skies over Trenton and Philadelphia.

Residents are encouraged to watch the flyovers from their yards or porches, but to avoid gathering in groups.
